Noise Level Monitoring
Measure noise at your boundary and inside the plant, compare it with legal limits, and get practical solutions where levels are too high.
Quick answer
Under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, ambient noise in industrial areas must stay within 75 dB(A) by day (6 a.m.–10 p.m.) and 70 dB(A) at night. Many consents require periodic boundary noise monitoring. Practical controls include acoustic enclosures, silencers, vibration isolation, barriers and maintenance of noisy equipment.

Overview
The Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 set ambient noise limits by area category for day and night time, and consents frequently require periodic boundary noise monitoring. Inside the factory, high noise affects worker health and is regulated under factory safety rules.
We carry out boundary, ambient and workplace noise surveys with calibrated sound level meters, map high-noise areas and identify the main sources. Our recommendations focus on practical controls such as acoustic enclosures, silencers, vibration isolation, barriers and layout changes, along with hearing protection where engineering controls are not enough.
